The Model Laboratory Archery Program made history on Saturday, February 25, by claiming the title in the first-ever All "A" Classic State Tournament. The Patriots finished with a total score of 3,344 (164), beating out Wolfe County (3,289, 137) for the champion title. Model was led by Rebecca Smith ('24) with a score of 290, which was fourth-best among all competitors and second-best for female shooters. Hannah Ramsey ('23) shot a 287, which was seventh overall and fifth among female competitors. Jayden Pham ('26) finished with a 286, the third-best score by a male competitor and eight-best overall. Gabriella Harris ('25) shot a 281 for Model, Ricky Marlow ('26) finished with a 279 and Seth Hahn ('23) and Christopher Lafata ('24) both shot a 278. Other top performances for Model included: Ruth Rogers ('26), 276; Jennifer Taliaferro ('25), 274; Jaxten Wilson (Grade 7), 272; Grace Yates ('24), 272 and Devin Price ('24), 271. ---

Update, March 24, 2023

Congratulations to the Girls' Archery Team as they claimed the trophy at the KHSAA Regional Tournament! On Saturday, March 11, the girls traveled to Lafayette and proved why they are the Class A State Champions, and Rebecca Smith ('24) won the individual Runner-Up title. The Boys' Archery Team brought home the Third Place trophy to wrap up the weekend.
