Ms. Jessica Holmes and Mrs. Angela Hardin and their classes were filmed and interviewed for an upcoming feature with the Interdisciplinary Literacy Practices Cohort through the Kentucky Department of Education.
Ms. Holmes and Mrs. Hardin were the only educators selected to represent their grade level from across the state for the cohort! Model students Etta Mohler, Camden Wilson, Tobey Sowders, and Jiwoo Kim were also interviewed and will be featured in the video series. We cannot wait to see everyone on-screen, and we are so proud to have great educators like Ms. Holmes and Mrs. Hardin!
The Interdisciplinary Literacy Practices Cohort is an opportunity for K-12 reading and writing educators to engage in deeper learning about the Kentucky Academic Standards for Reading and Writing Interdisciplinary Literacy Practices. It features student engagement in the practices in a professionally produced video series.
The videos will be featured on the KDE website later this school year to aid in helping future teachers implement interdisciplinary literacy practices in the classroom.
