The policies of the Model Laboratory School are approved by the Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents. Collectively, they are designated as Volume 12 of Eastern Kentucky University Policies and Regulations. Model Lab Schools are also governed by Eastern Kentucky University Policies and Regulations.

Procedures for execution of the policies are developed by the Model Laboratory School Superintendent.
