🇺🇸🗳️ Check out what our Early Childhood Development Center students were up to this week! In honor of Election week, the ECDC students voted for their favorite gross motor area between the Playground and the Gross Motor Room. Model Lab promotes hands-on, real-world experiences, no matter the grade level, to design our world-class education. 🌟

The MPO Poinsettia Fundraiser ends tomorrow (Friday) at 5:00 p.m. Make sure you find a Freshman or Sophomore Student Council member or MPO parent to place your order!

The Upper West parking lot in Alumni Coliseum will be closed on Friday, November 8, due to EKU Family Weekend. Students and employees must park in the lower lot by the baseball field and Kentucky State Police post. Parking services informed us any vehicle parked in the Upper West lot of Alumni Coliseum on Friday will be towed.

Dive into a sea of stories and join us tomorrow, Thursday, October 24, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Also, the Book Fair will be open! The Fall Book Fair will stay open Thursday, October 24 through Friday, November 1.

🇺🇸 The Model Laboratory Schools Veterans Day Program is on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴, 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗞𝗨 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀. Veterans, parents, and family members are invited to attend the program, and we ask families to preregister veterans to be recognized during the program and/or to attend. We also request a photo to be sent in for the special recognition, if available. ATTN, Parking restrictions on Friday, Oct. 25: The Upper West commuter section in the Alumni Coliseum lot will be closed on October 25, 2024. This section will be closed all day. Please utilize the lower section below the baseball field.

IMPORTANT UPDATE regarding Extended Learning: On Friday, October 25, Extended Learning will end early at 5:00 p.m. Additionally, pick-up will be changed to the Alumni Coliseum lot [beside Model's playground]. Contact Morgan.Campbell@eku.edu with questions.

🌎🎓 𝙁𝙐𝙇𝘽𝙍𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙍𝙊𝙊𝙈 🎓🌎 We were thrilled and honored to welcome representatives from The Fulbright Program yesterday! Jim Fatzinger, President of the Kentucky Chapter, and Dr. Ted Fiedler, Board Member, visited classrooms across various grade levels and disciplines to share the goals of the Fulbright in the Classroom program. They discussed how the program can support Model students in pursuing opportunities to study abroad and in becoming global citizens. Cal Hall ('29) and Delaney Brown ('29) were tour guides for our guests and shared about the future of Model Lab, our mission with EKU, and the new building.

🎉❤️ Today we celebrated an incredible milestone here at Model! 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀. Known for her caring, selfless, and helpful spirit, Teresa has touched countless lives with her unwavering dedication to Model families, students, faculty, and staff. This afternoon, she received a heartwarming surprise in class from principals Dr. Holli Hunt and Mrs. Amber Catron, surrounded by her students. We are so grateful for all she does for our school community. Join us in congratulating Mrs. White on 25 amazing years of service! 🥳👏

A special thank you to our amazing volunteers, including EKU College of Education & Applied Human Sciences, parents, and faculty/staff for their support!
